The APRN conducted an international training on Information-Documentation on August 25-27 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The three-day course was attended by 16 NGOs from Indonesia, Fiji, Hongkong, Malaysia, Palestine, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.

The training featured inputs on maintaining a databank for research and advocacy needs as well as workshop on thesaurus building. The course is for NGOs which are maintaining or about to start a databank.

It was the second international training that APRN organized. The first was held in Manila in 1999 which was attended by APRN members and non-members.

The workshop was facilitated by Rosario Bella Guzman, Executive Director of IBON Foundation Inc. IBON is a research-education institution which maintains a databank.
