Selection Results for ‘Breaking Ground, Taking Roots: the Istanbul Principles@7’

By APRN | March 14, 2017

With a little over 16 days to go before the ‘Breaking Ground, Taking Roots: the Istanbul Principles@7’, we are pleased to inform you that we received an overwhelming response to the call for participation. Around 200 individuals representing non-government organizations, platforms, social movements and community-based organizations signified their interest to be part of the conference.

Applications were screened based on a set criteria of geographical, sectorial and gender balance, as well as knowledge and implementation of the Istanbul Principles. Following deliberations, we now have almost 100 participants, including some representatives from developed and developing country governments, to the 2-day confab in Thailand. (see the list here)

Special thanks to the members of the Task Force IP@7 and the CPDE co-chairs for the guidance and support towards the preparations!###
